33 Days to Morning Glory

The principle practices of devotion to Mary, a great variety of prayers to her—including the rosary and her office—are available elsewhere on the Age of Mary. What follows is that special devotion called by St. Louis de Montfort, “Total Consecration.”

Total Consecration to Mary, explains St. Louis, “consists in surrendering oneself in the manner of a slave to Mary, and to Jesus through her, and then performing all our actions with Mary, in Mary, through Mary, and for Mary” (The Secret of Mary, No. 28). It is also known as “True Devotion to Mary,” “Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary,” and “Holy Slavery.”

“True Devotion to Mary is nothing more than the perfect and certain and shortest way to live our baptismal vows.”

An Invitation

This website is an open invitation to all Catholics who love Mary, our glorious Queen and immaculate Mother. She has been assumed body and soul into heaven and continues to watch over each of us from the vantage point of eternity. If you have ever recieved a grace from God, you can be certain that it passed first through her hands. Read The Secret of Mary, then decide to abandon yourself completely to her.

“Such are the great men who are to come. By the will of God, Mary is to prepare them to extend his rule over the impious and unbelievers….. They will carry the crucifix in their right hand and the rosary in their left, and the holy names of Jesus and Mary on their heart.”

What To Do

  1. Read The Secret of Mary to understand what it is all about. For a more detailed and in-depth understanding, read True Devotion to Mary.
  2. From the listing of Marian feast days, choose a consecration date that is meaningful to you.
  3. Begin the 33-day preparation on the appropriate date.
  4. Make the Act of Consecration on the feast day you have selected.

“They will have the two-edged sword of the word of God in their mouths and the blood-stained standard of the Cross on their shoulders. The simplicity and self-sacrifice of Jesus will be reflected in their whole behaviour.”

“Be Not Afraid”

By making this consecration to Mary, you are placing yourself completely and totally in her hands. You are giving her permission to form you, discipline you, and mold you into a true follower of Christ. Do not be afraid, though, because she loves you. She will always take care of you, and knows better than anybody how to do so. It is always good to remember her words to St. Juan Diego in Mexico, “Hear and let it penetrate into your heart, my dear little son: let nothing discourage you, nothing depress you: let nothing alter your heart or your countenance. Also do not fear any illness or vexation, anxiety or pain. Am I not here who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Am I not your fountain of life? Are you not in the folds of my mantle, in the crossing of my arms? Is there anything else that you need?”

“Their hearts will not be troubled, nor will they show favour to anyone; they will not spare or heed or fear any man, however powerful he may be. They will point out the narrow way to God in pure truth according to the holy Gospel, and not according to the maxims of the world.”

You will find here all the resources you need to make the consecration:

“In this battle, those who follow God will conquer with one hand and build with the other. The saints of the end times will be formed by Mary in their devotion to her. She will shape them and teach them even as she formed the body of Our Lord in her womb.”
